Current Group Therapy Offerings
Sandstone offers a variety of therapy groups. A description of each group is provided below. Groups are $40 per session and select insurances are accepted. Sandstone currently offers (or is recruiting for) the following therapy groups:
ABC Support Group (Bariatric Weight Loss Surgery)
Surviving Depression Group (Depression)
All Destinations Have Detours (ADHD)
Young Adult Interpersonal Process Group (Relating to Self and Others)
ABC Support Group
The ABC Support Group is intended to provide peer support for those undergoing bariatric weight loss surgery, whether pre- or post- surgery. The group is a safe space to talk with others about the challenges, triumphs, and overall experience of weight loss and healthy living. All questions, concerns, and topics regarding the journey of weight loss through bariatric surgery are welcome!
This group is currently recruiting new members for the next 10-week series (90 minute sessions) and will be facilitated by Dr. Christina Aranda at Sandstone Psychological Practice. Each group costs $40. Talk to Client Coordinator Linda Riesepow to inquire about insurances accepted. This group is maxed at 7 group members. Day and time will be determined by group members. Surviving Depression Group
The Surviving Depression group is intended to promote healing and understanding of the challenges of living with depression. This group explores interpersonal styles, coping strategies, and life events in a supportive, safe, and open environment.
This group is currently recruiting new members and will be facilitated by Dr. Janell Mihelic and Pre-Doctoral Practicum Trainee Mary Baggio. Each group costs $40. Talk to Client Coordinator Linda Riesepow to inquire about insurances accepted. It is held weekly on Thursdays from 9:30-11:00am. Spaces are limited! Please call 702-405-0904 to reserve your spot.
All Destinations Have Detours
All Destinations Have Detours group is a weekly, strengths-based therapy and skills group that is for any adult experiencing ADHD-related challenges. Topic and activities include: mindfulness activities, psychoeducation on ADHD and self-care, identifying and utilizing strengths, goal setting, overcoming procrastination techniques, and processing emotions and experiences.
This group is currently recruiting members for the next 8-week series (90 minutes) and will be facilitated by a Licensed Psychologist and Pre-doctoral Practicum Trainee. Each group costs $40. Talk to Client Coordinator Linda Riesepow to inquire about insurances accepted. Day and time will be determined by group members. A formal diagnosis is not needed to join the group.
